A blended learning approach

Knowledge and skills are best delivered via a blended learning approach.  Learning programmes are ideally designed to include various learning approaches, consisting of a mix of:

  1. Self-study this can include using online tutorials and study resources, listening to audio material and watching films and clips.
  2. Face-to-face time – here, knowledge gained from self-study can be consolidated, but the key to developing skills is practice, plenty of which is included.
  3. Reflection and assessment, both alone and with line-managers.
